On the second day of Navratri the second ingredient that we are going to talk about is Sweet Potatoes widely known as Shakarkandi.
For some of you who are not aware, the normal Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes are not the same. Ideally sweet potatoes are also rich in Fibres and help in water retention making them one of the best food item to consume if you are fasting during these Navratris. They also include a good array of vitamins and minerals like iron, calcium, vitamin B & C. They are also very beneficial to the eyes and help in controlling high blood pressure.
